A new market is opening up for surface treatment machines manufactured in Revonlahti, Siikajoki, thanks to strengthened sales resources.<\/p>\n<p>Finnblast Oy and Prodmac Oy will henceforth work together to provide high-quality surface treatment solutions. Specializing in the import of metalworking equipment and lifecycle services for machinery, Prodmac\u2014supported by Finnblast\u2019s strong domestic automation expertise\u2014will be able to serve metal fabricators and machine shops more comprehensively than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinnblast\u2019s expertise enables the construction of various automated modules around the products we import. In the future, we will be able to build even more highly automated turnkey solutions for our customers ourselves,\u201d says Mika Koivuniemi, owner of Prodmac Oy.<\/p>\n<p>Finnblast, a nearly 40-year-old company specializing in shot blasting technology, has established a strong foothold in industries such as rail and paper. Shot blasting solutions designed and manufactured at the company\u2019s factory in Revonlahti, Siikajoki, are used for surface treatment of locomotive and railcar axles and wheels, as well as paper machine rolls.<\/p>\n<p>Continued Growth in Large-Scale Automation Projects<\/p>\n<p>For Finnblast, the future together with Prodmac marks the beginning of a new era.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis enables entirely new growth opportunities for us as a designer and manufacturer of special-purpose machinery. With increased sales resources from Prodmac, we will also gain better access to the domestic market with our own products,\u201d says Seppo Koivuniemi, CEO of Finnblast Oy.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately half of Finnblast\u2019s revenue comes from exports, as its automation and hybrid blasting cabinets are delivered worldwide. One of the company\u2019s best-selling and most innovative products is an automatic blasting cabinet used by rail industry maintenance companies.<\/p>\n<p>In Prodmac\u2019s own business, the share of large-scale automation projects has been increasing for years. Cooperation with a strong automation specialist therefore provides Prodmac with an even stronger foundation for growth.<\/p>\n<p>Finnblast\u2019s fully domestic production and operations will remain unchanged in Revonlahti.
