Transport container integrated into drum

The FB deburring drums have been designed for the deburring of flame-cut pieces with no manual labour. The drum also works as a transport system for the pieces. A removable transport container forms part of the drum. The container is inserted into the drum and extracted from it with a forklift. The flame-cut pieces are loaded into the containers on the cutting table.
A forklift is used to transport the filled containers into the deburring drum. The drum rubs the burrs off from the flame-cut pieces, and no manual grinding is necessary. Loose dust from inside the drum is collected into a filter, making the pieces dust-free and clean.
The container can then be used to carry the clean pieces to the next work station, such as machining, welding etc. There can be several containers in use at a time; 5–10 pcs is a common number. This allows for dividing the pieces into different containers on the cutting board in accordance with their intended usage.
The burrs can be removed mechanically, with no manual grinding or unloading and reloading.

2. Durable inner liner

The interior surfaces of the drum and containers are lined with rubber cartridges. The durable special rubber is attached to a steel plate, which in turn is attached to the drum by means of screws. This makes the wearable rubber plates easy to replace.

3. Sound-proofing

Sound-proofing makes the drum very silent. It can be located indoors, as it is quiet and produces no dust. The noise level is below 80 dB(A).
The sound insulation also increases occupational safety. The system is equipped with twin doors that have a safety limit switch. Opening the doors in the middle of a the process will stop the drum.

4. Ventilation

The drum has integrated dust extraction. Air is being continuously extracted from the inside of the drum, which collects the fine dust into a filter. The air exiting the filter is dust-free and can be rerouted to the inside. The pieces are clean and dust-free after the deburring.

1.
